My ramblings about Spartacus

Regardless of the fact that this post has seriously nothing to do with writing short stories (although one cannot say the same if the idea is to - somehow - look for inspiration), I've been watching season 2 of Spartacus and I've came to the conclusion they have, significantly, reduced the amount of blood used in that tv show.

In season 1 even the tiniest little flesh wound produced, no less, than at least  bucket of blood (hence the title Blood and Sand, I suppose), now they seem to lose less blood eventhough there seems to be a proner tendency towards decapitation.

The Queen of Hearts syndrome I believe, but still - in my perspective - an excellent tv show. Usually, when the actor  playing the protagonist changes, the tv shows are left in a sort of an hot spot. But in this case, I think they ended up nailing it. The new actor playing Spartacus is doing very well in character, and the plot itself is a very well balanced perspective accounting for each of the opposing factions.

All in all, thumbs up for the show.
